In 2004 I first came to Bulgaria on a viewing trip with the idea of buying a holiday home. I didn't purchase anything that time but fell in love with the country, and so returned the following year when I saw the little tumble down house which was to become my first home here.
In 2019, having lived in Bulgaria permanently for seven years, I decided to sell up and move to a much bigger property in a much tinier village.

This blog is a little insight into the highs and lows, excitement and anxiety, but, above all, genuine heartfelt pleasure of life in a small village in the heart of Bulgaria.

It may prove useful to anyone considering a similar move, but mostly I hope you'll just enjoy coming along on the adventure with me.
